Hastur the Destroyer

Evil dachshund. The little one was punishing me for the dreaded bath I gave him. I left him alone in the living room and he got into my thread heaven. You can see the teeth marks in the wax. Arrghh. Then last night DH and I went to see Saw III. The dratted dog gave me the gift of thread devouring. He ate my 3371. When seeing the destruction Hastur had wrought. I actually said to my DH "the little bastard got into my 3371". DH was like "what are you talking about?". I wasn't mad that Hastur was playing with my fuzzy heart slippers but that he had gotten into my floss.
I have also posted a picture of my progress on the Mini Mandala. It seems popular. This is what I accomplished while in flight to and from Montana. Enjoy.

LOL... it must be a daschund thing. We had a miniature daschund for many years and he loved to chew things up too! :0)

I remember my dad once telling me that a dog is like having a permanent 5 year old on your hands.......isn't it the truth!!!!LOL I sometimes wonder if it is that they go after the things that have our strongest scent on them, hence getting themselves into more trouble than they bargained for. He still sounds adorable.....impish but adorable!

Beautiful work on the mandella!!!! The colors in this one are very rich and vibrant, it's going to be fantastic when finished.

But he was just being an animal it was left in his reach! I have a cat who taught me not to leave things out. I put it in my carry bag and he leaves it alone. My brother use to have a sweet cat but her one flaw was she was very nosey and even if the cs stuff was in my bag and the floss in a plastic bag she got it out! Oh well....

I know I shouldn't laugh, but I have to ;) Your poor floss and thread heaven :( On the bright note, though, your Mandala is looking beautiful :)

From one Doxie owner to another, I sympathize! My childhood Doxie, Heidi, was evil like that. If you "punished" her (either real or perceived), she would punish you right back by chewing something up. Evil little dogs, I tell you!

But I wouldn't give 'em up for nothing! :-)
